In this regard, achieving maximum efficiency requires a thorough understanding of solar cell material response to the laser scribing process. Nonetheless, laser scribing is a promising technique for commercializing new generations of solar cells, including perovskite, which requires further investigation due to its compositional complexity.
For P3 processing of CIGS solar cells with a ps laser, it has been shown that scribing both the back contact layer and absorber film can generate conductive phases, such as Mo, at the scribing edges that can connect back and front contact instead of isolation.
