To reveal the impact of alternating current (AC) amplitude on impedance, this paper mainly investigates the effect of AC amplitude on the impedance characteristics of lithium-ion batteries with different SOCs (0.2, 0.5, 0.8) at 25 °C and −10 °C.
Considering the physical and chemical processes varying with the battery state, electrochemical impedance measurement can also be applied to lithium-ion battery state estimation and diagnoses, such as temperature [10, 11], SOC [12, 13], state of health (SOH) [14, 15], lithium plating [16, 17], and internal short circuit [18, 19].
For AC impedance measurement, the excitation is usually performed with a small AC signal to keep the time invariance and linearity of the system inside the batteries.
