A voltmeter reads voltage in volts, while an ammeter reads current in amperes. @Omaid_it: Which one are you using? A 12 V, 7 Ah SLA battery that reads 0V is no longer serviceable and should be sent for recycling.
On another note, if you measure 0V from a li-ion, it might just be that its protection circuit has disconnected it from the terminals to prevent a deep discharge. Depending on how that protection circuit is designed, you can recover the battery by simply charging it. Or the protection circuit might act like a fuse and never reconnect the terminals.
A gel or wet cell battery should show some voltage, even if discharged. If it's not showing any voltage, it could be due to the electrolyte level being below the plates, resulting in an 'open-circuit battery'. However, it's important to note that a battery might not recover fully if it has been quick-charged too often and the individual plates have buckled.
Yes, I know the batteries will likely lose capacity, yes I know it's potentially dangerous. I've got precautions in place it doesn't really matter what the voltage is set to on your power supply when you're running it in constant current mode.

After updating to betaflight 4.2, when I try to fly my quad, I have no idea of telling how much battery I have left as the voltage stays at 0.00v. Has anyone encountered this bug before? in "Power and Battery" the voltage meter source is set to "Onboard ADC", however, battery is still not being read. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

If you are testing a 6V battery a good battery will show a reading of between 4V to 6V. Anything less than 3.5V can show that the battery is dead and will need replacing. A general rule of thumb is if the level of voltage reads half or less than the specified voltage the battery is considered dead and not fit for use.
