It has been discovered that temperature and humidity, combined with dust allocation and soiling effect, have a significant impact on the performance of PV modules.
The European Green Plan states that it is critical to decarbonize the European Union’s energy system to meet the climate targets set for 2030 and 2050. According to the REPowerEU plan, photovoltaic systems will play a crucial role in this process. Therefore, it is important to understand the impact of PV installations on the environment.
However, environmental conditions as well as operation and maintenance of the solar PV cell affect the optimum output and substantially impact the energy conversion efficiency, productivity and lifetime, thus affect the economy of power generation.
The practical potential of PV power plants is the amount of solar energy that can be converted into electricity by PV systems under acceptable conditions. This depends on the solar radiation, the area desirable and acceptable for PV installation, and the impact and benefit of PV technology.
Water use refers to the quantity and quality of water consumed or discharged by a PV power plant, which can affect the availability and sustainability of water resources in the region. The impact on water use is largely dependent on the type of PV technology and the place where the PV plant is located.
