Solar power is massive and limitless. Finding a suitable installation site is required because the solar PV power plant’s capital investment is sufficiently large high. Selecting a suitable location for the solar plant is important because it directly measures the amount of energy obtained.
C.-N. Wang et al.: Two-Stage Multiple Criteria Decision Making for Site Selection of Solar PV Power Plant methods , . Among these, it is found that AHP has of solar energy evaluation in particular. With its popularity most suitable location . However, DEA has appeared very sparingly in applications of renewable energy site selection.
The common criteria are solar radiation potential of the region, slope, orientation, land use, proximity to transportation connections, proximity to urban and rural settlements, and proximity to electricity infrastructure and power transmission lines.
Solar energy generation is a type of RES that takes advantage of the solar systems [1,5]. PV technology has enormous potential for deployment in electrical and governmental incentives. are integrated with in electrical networks . In the case of PV systems, the ra pid deployment of this grid-connected technology dwarfed the off-grid market .
The research framework. The hierarchical tree for determining solar power plants in Taiwan. Map of solar power plants operated by Taipower. The weights of the alternatives according to five main criteria. The weights of the alternatives according to sub-criteria (site characteristics).
Five selected evaluation criteria (site characteristics, technical, economic, social, and environmental) and sub-criteria of each were utilized to prioritize the locations with solar energy potential. AHP was used to determine the relative weights of the criteria and sub-criteria and the final weights of the areas.
