The NRC battery abuse lab has tested cells in big-name OEM vehicles at the behest of Transport Canada and, sometimes, by private companies. They’ve also worked with smaller Canadian players to make sure their battery cell technologies are striking the right balance between cutting edge and cautious.

The proposed Project is a lithium-ion battery energy storage facility sized to provide up to 50 MW over four hours, (200 Megawatt-hours). It occupies approximately 5 acres of land located on the northeast side of ON-17, just north of Galetta Sideroad. An overview map of the project is on the right with a more detailed map below.
These new energy technologies will protect and clean our air, water and soil while improving the competitiveness of Canadian industry and the standard of living of Canadians.
