There are numerous national and international bodies that set standards for photovoltaics. There are standards for nearly every stage of the PV life cycle, including materials and processes used in the production of PV panels, testing methodologies, performance standards, and design and installation guidelines.
In this context, the Ecodesign and energy labelling requirements for PV modules and inverters currently under analysis by the European Commission and in particular the need for compulsory requirements on the CF of (the manufacturing phase of) PV modules are of great importance.
Washington, DC: World Bank.” Achieving global goals for access to energy and mitigation of climate change will require a quadrupling of present levels of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation in the developing world by 2025 to reach around 950 gigawatt (GW)1. This represents an investment of more than US$500 billion in new solar PV generation alone.
There are currently 169 published IEC standards by TC-82 related to photovoltaic technology, and work is in progress for 69 more (new ones or revisions). This set of standards is the most broadly used by the scientific community and technicians in research centres and companies.
First, to regulate system design and battery function: IEC 62124 for stand-alone PV system design recommendations and PV performance evaluation (including battery testing and recovery after periods of low state-of-charge) in a variety of climatic conditions, and IEC 62509 for battery charge controllers.
The introduction of an Energy Label for residential scale photovoltaic systems will be a novelty for electricity generating equipment and runs a risk of confusing and disincentivising the electricity prosumer.

Vietnam''s total capacity of solar photovoltaic (PV) reached about 16,500 megawatts (MW ... Thailand has the highest technical solar PV potential (over 10.5 TW), followed by Myanmar (7.7 TW), Cambodia (3.2 TW), and Vietnam (2.8 TW). Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand are the three top countries in terms of onshore wind power potentials with 0.5 TW, …
Technical specifications for solar PV installations 1. Introduction The purpose of this guideline is to provide service providers, municipalities, and interested parties with minimum technical specifications and performance requirements for grid and non-grid connected solar PV systems. The guideline is intended for small scale generators less than 100 kW. The categories have …
