The simple equation to fully charge a capacitor is 5*r*c. (it takes about 4-5 time constants to fully charge, a time constant is just R*C). 4 * (0.36+2) * 20 = 188seconds!! so much for counting to 60...but wait... here is the catch... we really do not need to fully charge the cap!! (even the bulb goes out before the cap is fully charged)...
Connecting a voltage to a capacitance causes an instantaneous current spike. Current can change instantaneously over a capacitor while voltage cannot. When the source voltage is first connected, current rushes in to fill the capacitance. The capacitor voltage then gradually increases until it equals the source voltage.
I've watched Will Prowse and other's on Youtube pre-charging the capacitors on their inverters before connecting them to the battery. Generally, they use a high power resistor to ease the current in without a big spark.
Around 3.3 Ω and 50 W continuous / 1250 W pulse is good for 50 V systems. That limits the in-rush to some 15-18 A, depending on the battery voltage, and will pre-charge two 5 kVA inverters in less than a second.
To get an inverter which has an output voltage independent of the load current and which can provide the reactive current for the load, additional circuit elements are required. Sometimes diodes are connected antiparallel to the thyristors. These diodes enable one to use an inductive load on the inverter.
The commutation of the inverters requires reactive power, which a dc supply cannot provide. If the ac side of the inverter is also not in a position to provide this reactive power, special circuit elements which do so must be made available in the inverter circuit. The inverter in such a case is called a force commutated inverter.

My Push Button Pre-Charger Install for the SW 4024 Inverter
The issue is that an uncharged capacitor appears essentially as a dead short for a fraction of a second. An LFP battery will happily pump lots and lots of current for that fraction of a second. You can plug in your own numbers here and see: a 50Ω resistor, a 24V battery and a 1000µF capacitor will fully charge the capacitor in about 0.2 ...

Inverter DC Link Capacitor Selection
As the capacitors go through charge-discharge cycles at high frequency, the conductors inside get hot and raise the internal temperature of the capacitor. It is necessary to limit the temperature rise so that the capacitor does not deteriorate. The manufacturer will typically specify the maximum RMS ripple current rating at an ambient temperature that you must not …

What is pre-charging and how does it work? | TAO Perf
To determine minimum pre-charge time, you must take into account the parasitic loads in parallel with the inverter. These loads will reduce the pre-charge current flowing to the inverter input capacitor, and they may even prevent full pre-charge. A pre-charge time of 5 to 10 seconds is usually sufficient, but the actual value will depend on ...
