It doesn't do any good because that's not how capacitors work. They don't produce power, they just 'borrow' it. There already are all the capacitors the inverter needs built in to the inverter. Unlike a car audio system there's no alternator running to make up the 'borrowed' power to the capacitor.
In practice, the circuit below takes over 3 hours to pre-charge a bank of twenty-four 3500F capacitors up to the DC bus voltage. The same is true for discharge, and the voltage of the capacitor bank should be monitored before closing the big 250A breaker to bring the capacitors online.
I've watched Will Prowse and other's on Youtube pre-charging the capacitors on their inverters before connecting them to the battery. Generally, they use a high power resistor to ease the current in without a big spark.
Make sure the switch is beefy enough to handle full surge current to your inverter. Trickle charger to battery posts should be fine. Just make sure the inverter wires have a good connection not disturbed by the charger connection. The switch is rated for 120V and 10 amps. The inverter will be under a continuous 1200 watt load, so about 10 amps.
These harmonics combine with the fundamental frequency and cause distortion of the waveform. Grid tie inverters require filter components in two key areas: The DC bus and AC output. The AC output filter is a low pass filter (LPF) that blocks high frequency PWM currents generated by the inverter.
In effect adding such to an inverter system simply adds more load on the batteries. Batteries have much, much higher capacitance than capacitors do. If you size them right for the expected load there is no problem. if you don't, no amount of jerry-rigging will correct the deficit.
Capacitors for High Power Inverters and Converters
DC Link Capacitors. Aluminum Electrolytic. DC Film. OR. The DC-link capacitor''s purpose is to provide a more stable DC voltage, limiting fluctuations as the inverter sporadically demands heavy current. A design can use different technologies for DC-Link capacitors such as aluminum electrolytic, film, and ceramic types. Generally, High ...

Selecting dc-link capacitors for inverters
Examine a dc link capacitor''s ac ripple current and you''ll realize it arises from two main contributors: the incoming current from the energy source and the current drawn by the inverter. Of course, capacitors cannot pass dc current; thus, dc current only flows from the source to the inverter, bypassing the capacitor. Power factor ...
