Economic value and government compensation calculative method of energy storage system Abstract:Energy storage system (ESS) has recently been highlighted because of their many benefits such as high operation reliability, fast and accurate response ability, environmentally friendly, and so on.
Finally, the new energy base in Qinghai Province, China is chosen for simulation. The results show: (1) Adding energy storage and using two-stage RO are able to effectively improve the ability of NEPSs to resist uncertainty, which increases the revenue of the alliance by 22.8%.
Therefore, there is a need to focus on studying the approaches and benefits of new energy power stations (NEPSs) participating in the electricity market. NEPSs collectively refer to all large-scale renewable energy generation systems, including wind farms, solar power stations, and the mixture of them.
The storage energy in the steady-state operation of SMES consists of two parts; one is the minimum operating energy used to maintain the SMES system trigger response compensation, and the other is the energy used to achieve the compensation of voltage sags or the acceleration of the maglev.
The SMES compensation system was used to enhance the power quality of the maglev and ensure stable power supply during operation. A power system model for a 20 MW maglev with a 10.4 MJ SMES was established, and the feasibility and superiority of the SMES compensation scheme were verified.
To sum up, the energy storage power station can consider multi-channel income mode, and obtain satisfactory return on investment through the combination of “peak-valley price difference” + “capacity price” + “peak-shaving price” + “rental fee”. 6. Conclusion
